Terms
The terms on which Kerb builds and looks after websites.
Last updated 7 September 2026
Who we are
These terms cover work done by [LEGAL NAME], trading as Kerb, of [ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”). They apply to every website build and to the monthly care plan.
The free demo
The demo is free and there is no obligation to go ahead. The demo remains our property and is not a finished website. We may take it down after [14] days if you decide not to proceed.
The build
We quote a fixed price for the build after the demo call. The price is confirmed in writing before work starts. The build fee is payable [in full before the site goes live / 50% on go-ahead and 50% on go-live].
We aim to have the site live within five working days of the go-ahead, provided we have everything we need from you. Delays in supplying content, photos or approvals extend that time.
You check and approve all words and images before the site goes live. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your site and for having the right to use any photos, logos and text you supply.
The care plan
The care plan is charged monthly in advance at the rate agreed. It covers hosting, security, backups, small changes, local SEO upkeep, Google Business Profile management, review requests and a monthly report, as described on our pricing page.
Small changes are those taking under half an hour. Larger work is quoted separately and agreed before it starts.
Either side can end the care plan with [30 days] notice in writing. There is [no minimum term].
Ownership
Your domain name is registered in your name. The words, photos and other content you supply remain yours. Content we write for you becomes yours once the build fee is paid.
The design and code of the site are licensed to you for as long as you use our services. If the care plan ends, we provide an export of the site files and transfer the domain to a registrar of your choice. We do not provide ongoing support for a site once it has been handed over.
Your responsibilities
You agree not to use the site for anything unlawful, and to tell us promptly about any change to your business details, such as address, phone number or opening hours.
Our liability
We do our best to keep your site online and working. We are not liable for loss of business arising from downtime, search ranking changes or third-party services such as Google, domain registrars or hosting providers. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees paid in the [12] months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you at least [30 days] before any change that affects the care plan.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
